Our Community Standard
Pingo helps adults plan trips, discover events, and meet other people. These Community Guidelines apply to profiles, photos, messages, city and event chats, events, trips, reviews, place notes, reports, and conduct at meetings arranged through Pingo.
These Guidelines form part of the Pingo Terms and Conditions. They apply to everyone, whether an account is free or Pro. We may consider relevant off-platform conduct when it creates a credible safety risk for people using Pingo.
Adults Only And Authentic Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pingo. Do not create an account for a minor, involve a minor in a Pingo event or meetup, or misrepresent your age.
Use an identity and profile that honestly represent you. Impersonation, deceptive profiles, stolen photos, account sharing, ban evasion, and misleading claims about your identity, location, intentions, event, or trip are prohibited.
Respect, Consent, And Boundaries
Treat people with dignity. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, repeated unwanted contact, threats, stalking, sexual pressure, coercion, non-consensual contact, and retaliation after rejection or blocking are prohibited.
Consent must be clear, voluntary, specific, and ongoing. A chat reply, friendship, event attendance, shared trip destination, or location share is not consent to sexual, romantic, physical, financial, or other unwanted conduct. Stop when someone says no, disengages, blocks you, or asks you to stop.
Hate, Discrimination, And Dehumanizing Content
Do not attack, exclude, demean, or incite hostility against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, age, or another protected characteristic.
Slurs, dehumanizing comparisons, praise for hate organizations, calls for segregation or exclusion, and targeted hateful harassment are not allowed. Good-faith discussion of identity or discrimination is allowed when it does not attack or endanger people.
Sexual Content And Exploitation
Pornographic content, nudity intended for sexual gratification, unsolicited sexual messages or images, sexual exploitation, trafficking, prostitution solicitation, and sharing intimate material without consent are prohibited.
Any sexual content involving or appearing to involve a minor is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Do not use Pingo events, trips, or chats to facilitate exploitation.
Violence, Dangerous Conduct, And Self-Harm
Do not threaten, glorify, organize, or encourage violence, terrorism, serious physical harm, or cruelty. Graphic violent content, credible threats, instructions intended to cause harm, and promotion of dangerous criminal activity are prohibited.
Do not encourage self-harm or suicide. Supportive discussion and recovery-oriented content may be allowed, but Pingo is not an emergency or crisis service. Contact local emergency services when there is immediate danger.
Scams, Spam, And Commercial Abuse
Do not solicit money, payment credentials, gift cards, cryptocurrency, investments, loans, or financial account information through deceptive or high-pressure tactics. Pyramid schemes, impersonation scams, fake ticket sales, romance scams, and fraudulent travel or event offers are prohibited.
Do not send bulk, repetitive, irrelevant, or automated messages; scrape profiles; manipulate follows, attendance, reports, reviews, or rankings; promote unrelated products; or use Pingo primarily for unsolicited commercial outreach.
Privacy, Location, And Personal Information
Do not publish, request, collect, infer, or distribute another person’s private information without permission. This includes home or accommodation addresses, precise location, travel movements, phone numbers, financial details, identity documents, private messages, and intimate information.
Nearby Buddy is for approximate social discovery. Never use map pins, distance ranges, event locations, trip dates, online status, or shared content to stalk, track, dox, surveil, or infer someone’s movements. A location deliberately shared in a conversation may only be used for the purpose for which it was shared.
Events, Trips, And In-Person Conduct
Event creators must provide accurate, timely details, select lawful and appropriate venues, respect capacity and approval settings, communicate material changes, and avoid unsafe or deceptive activities. Participants must respect the organizer, venue, other attendees, and local law.
Do not pressure anyone to attend, stay, travel, drink, pay, share accommodation, reveal a location, or move a conversation off Pingo. Organizers and attendees are responsible for their own arrangements, bills, transportation, belongings, and decisions.
Content And Intellectual Property
Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not post illegal material, malware, misleading links, counterfeit content, another person’s private media, or material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Descriptions, reviews, event details, place notes, and trip content should be relevant and honest. Do not fabricate safety claims, reviews, attendance, credentials, accessibility information, prices, or venue details.
Reporting, Blocking, And Cooperation
Use in-app reporting for suspected violations and blocking when you do not want further interaction. Blocking does not automatically submit a report. Do not file knowingly false, retaliatory, duplicate, or coordinated malicious reports.
Preserve relevant information when safe to do so and cooperate honestly with a review. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services first; an in-app report is not a substitute for emergency assistance.
Enforcement And Reviews
Depending on severity, context, prior violations, and risk, Pingo may remove content, restrict features, remove someone from an event or conversation, issue a warning, suspend an account, permanently ban an account, preserve evidence, or contact authorities where appropriate or legally required.
We may use automated signals and human review to identify abuse. Automated systems can make mistakes. If you believe an enforcement action was incorrect, contact support@pingoapp.co with the account email and relevant context. We do not guarantee reversal or a specific response time.
