Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using Pingo, including Nearby Buddy, event creation and approval, event chats, trip traveler discovery, Pro access, and real-world meetups.

1. Agreement To These Terms

These Terms and Conditions describe the rules for using Pingo. By accessing or using Pingo, you agree to these terms and any policies referenced here.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use Pingo.

2. What Pingo Does

Pingo helps people discover nearby buddies, find local events, create activities, join event chats, plan trips, discover travelers going to the same city, send friend requests, and explore places together.

Pingo is a social discovery service. We provide tools for people to connect, but users are responsible for the information they provide, the plans they create or join, and their interactions online and in person.

3. Accounts And Eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.

You may not use Pingo if you are legally prohibited from using the service or if we previously removed your account for violating these terms.

4. Nearby Buddy And Location Features

Nearby Buddy shows people around you by using location-based information and map features. Normal users may receive limited or blurred nearby profile previews, while Pro users may see more details for users who are visible in nearby results.

You must not use Nearby Buddy to harass, stalk, track, pressure, or harm anyone. Respect privacy, location preferences, boundaries, and local laws.

If you turn off Show me nearby or disable location permission, some nearby features may stop working and your profile should not appear in Nearby Buddy results.

5. Events, Approval, And Event Chats

Users may create activities and events that other people can join. Event owners are responsible for providing accurate details, choosing appropriate locations, setting capacity or visibility, and managing the event respectfully.

Event owners may require manual approval before people join. If approval is required, requesting access does not guarantee entry, and the owner may approve or reject requests.

People who join an event may gain access to the related event conversation. Event chats are for coordination, updates, and respectful communication among the owner and participants.

6. Trips And Traveler Discovery

Users may create trips by choosing destinations, dates, and related travel information. Pingo may use this information to show other travelers going to the same city, traveler counts, date overlaps, nearby events, and profile previews.

Trips are social planning tools, not travel bookings. Pingo does not arrange transportation, accommodation, visas, insurance, tours, or in-person meetings. You are responsible for verifying plans and making safe decisions.

7. User Content And Conversations

You may create or share profile information, messages, images, event details, trip plans, reviews, friend requests, and other content through Pingo.

You keep ownership of your content, but you give Pingo permission to host, display, process, translate, moderate, and share it as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service.

Do not share content that you do not have the right to share, and do not post another person's private information without permission.

8. Community Rules

You agree not to harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, scam, exploit, stalk, dox, discriminate against, sexually exploit, or harm others. You also agree not to post illegal, hateful, violent, misleading, or unsafe content.

You may not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, bypass paywalls or access controls, automate abusive activity, interfere with security, or use Pingo in a way that damages the service or other users.

We may remove content, limit features, cancel event access, remove users from conversations, suspend accounts, or take other action if we believe someone is violating these terms or creating risk for Pingo or its users.

9. Pro Features And Subscriptions

Pingo Pro may unlock expanded access to features such as nearby profile visibility, event discovery, trip travelers, traveler names, trip dates, overlap context, and other premium social discovery tools.

Feature availability, limits, prices, trial offers, and Pro benefits may change over time. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds may be handled by the App Store or another payment provider under their own terms.

10. Meeting People Safely

Pingo may help users organize or discover plans, but users are responsible for deciding whether to attend, participate, travel, or meet others.

Use good judgment, meet in public places when appropriate, tell someone you trust where you are going, follow local laws, respect consent and boundaries, and leave any situation that feels unsafe.

11. Third-Party Services

Pingo may link to or integrate with third-party services such as maps, authentication, analytics, notifications, payment providers, or external websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, or actions.

12. Service Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Pingo at any time. We may also update features, Pro benefits, eligibility rules, usage limits, or availability as the product evolves.

13. Disclaimers And Limits

Pingo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be secure, uninterrupted, accurate, complete, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pingo is not responsible for user conduct, offline meetings, event outcomes, trip issues, travel problems, lost opportunities, third-party actions, or content shared by users.
